Invermoriston Through Time

Invermoriston is situated on the West shore of Loch Ness about 7 miles from Fort Augustus.
The two bridges pictured here span the River and Falls of Moriston, the one at the back having been built by Thomas Telford in 1813. This was replaced by the one at the front in 1930.

Thank you Ron. Yes it is worth a visit. We were lucky that a local breakdown truck driver told us about it. He did also tell us that the road on the other side of Loch Ness was a pretty run. Must try that route on one of our trips.
