Statt nicht mehr gebrauchte Christbäume zu verbrennen oder zu kompostieren, kann man sie auch verfüttern, wie im Bild zu sehen an Kamerunschafe, die im Maintal zur Fleischerzeugung und zur Grünlandpflege eingesetzt werden. Das Kamerunschaf ging aus dem Westafrikanischen Zwergschaf hervor und gilt als anspruchslos und widerstandsfähig.
