this brings back memories for me ... my grandfather grew asparagus
and in raised beds ... the end of the season he let many of them grow like
this ... being only young at the time ... I felt I was walking through a fairy
forest ;-) I loved them ... so thanks for prompting a lovely memory for
me ... and your picture is of course ... so special ;-)

I´m glad, that I could give pleasure to you with this photo. Indeed, when I walked through this asparagus field to take this picture, I also felt I was walking through a forest, because the plants are about 1,30 m high. It was a very pleasant feeling.

special indeed, and so you understand the memories and feelings I had
at that time ;-) if I remember correctly also ... later there would be the odd one
or two berries even ... but I am not sure, perhaps my memory plays tricks
with me ;-) he also grew the beautiful flower Cosmos ... and they were so
big, higher than me ... and I remember again standing amongst them, as
he had a huge amount of them lining the side of the path ... I thought I
was in fairy heaven ;-) memories of when we are so very young, how
they stay with us and when we see these flowers again, back come the
memories ;-) thanks for the X'tra picture, it is lovely !

... indeed an asparagus plant produces only few red berries, so it looks very strange. As you remember the big Cosmos, I rember the big rye plants on the fields of my uncle, when I spent my holidays as a little boy on his farm.
