Phan Thiết , 200 km nordöstlich von Hồ-Chí-Minh-Stadt / Saigon an der Spitze einer Halbinsel.
Die ersten Resorts entlang der Strände von Hung Long und Phu Thuy sowie von Phu Hai und Ham Tien östlich des Stadtzentrums entstanden Mitte der 1990er-Jahre.
Seitdem boomt der Tourismus und hunderte von Touristeneinrichtungen wie Hotels, Restaurants, Resorts, Pensionen und (Souvenir-)Shops wurden entlang der Küste gebaut.
