The image is not distorted, the trees are growing slanted because of the strong winds. The Estancia Sol de Mayo is situated at Ruta 41 in the valley of Rio Ghio, in the province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.

This summit has an elevation of about 2250 m and is situated on the border between Argentina and Chile and this side is the source of Rio Ghio.
