Yesterday we had the first significant snowfall in Tyrol (Austria) down to 1000 metres. The snow cap of the Emperor Mountainds reaches correspondingly further down. Yesterday, during my morning walk, I was again lucky enough to have an opportunity to meet a fire salamander (Salamandra salamandra), as I last did 3 years ago in autumn. ~~~~~ Gestern bei meiner morgentlichen Wanderung hatte ich wieder das Glück einer Begegnung mit einem Feuersalamander (Salamandra salamandra), so wie zuletzt im Herbst vor 3 Jahren. ~~~~~
