Hopes And Dreams ...

For this week's Sunday Challenge for which the theme was the future.
Every week millions of Brits play the national lottery hoping, dreaming even, that it might indeed be them that hits the jackpot.
I must admit to occasionally succumbing myself and buying a ticket be it for the Lotto or the Euro Millions. However, I have so little faith in the likelihood of me winning that I usually end up with umpteen tickets going back several weeks, if not months, lying around waiting to be checked.
I know money can't buy you happiness, but it sure can bring security and peace of mind, which is something anyone who has to rent their property never really has in their life.
That's why if my numbers ever do come up then I'd be happy just winning enough to be able to stop renting. That and maybe having enough left over to be financially secure into old age is all I'd want ... the rest I'd happily give away. I mean, how many millions does one person really need?
My resolve though is unlikely to be tested any time soon as, you've guessed it, there wasn't a single winning line in any of these!

I do one Easy Pick(they pick the numbers) line a weel.. that is $2.. my Two Dollar Dream. In the UK I spent £1 a weelk on an easy pick line.
I long to come Home... its probably the only way I will now if I win the Lottery.
autofantasia club has replied to Pam J clubInteresting you mention coming home as I didn't know you were from over here or if I did I'd forgotten. By the way, if you do make it back it'll cost you £2 now for a single line ticket. OH, and they've increased the range of numbers you can select from up to 59. They say that increases your chances ... go figure that one out! ;)
Pam J club has replied to autofantasia clubI have been here 10 years this month.. and only been able to come Home once 5 years ago. It rips my heart out. Jay is worth it.. but there isnt a day it isnt hard.
Cool idea, Paul!

And yes, you know the old joke? "What do you mean you called to the wrong number? This is a real number!"
autofantasia club has replied to Sami Serola (inactiv… clubautofantasia club has replied to AmazingstokerWe play the Lotto from time to time as well Paul but not much luck I'm afraid. I agree that, "they'd be far better capping the jackpot and spreading the rest further down the line". If one can't get along on $1 million dollars/pounds one needs to step back and prioritize their needs as opposed to their wants.
