LOVING SMILE - 64

(someone tells me that by eighties I'm too old for smiles)
but the sunlight
the swell of the sea
and the sea air smell
beyond the day
or the night
follow one another uninterruptedly
like your smile
(someone tells me that by eighties I'm too old for smiles)
well
---I answer---
get up around five o'clock in the morning
go to the cliff
contemplate the nautical twilight
and then
by breakfast
tell me how old you are
///
(alguém me diz que aos oitenta anos sou velho para sorrisos)
mas a luz do sol
a ondulação do mar
e o cheiro a maresia
para além do dia
e da noite
sucedem-se ininterruptamente
como o teu sorriso
(alguem me diz que aos oitenta anos sou velho para sorrisos)
pois bem
---respondo---
levanta-te pelas cinco horas da manhã
vai até à falésia
contempla o crepúsculo náutico
e depois
ao pequeno almoço
diz-me que idade tens
