Mistbiene (Eristalis tenax) auf Ringelblume (Calendula officinalis)

Die Mistbiene wird auch als Schlammfliege bezeichnet. Sie gehört zu den Schwebfliegen (Syrphidae).
Entwicklung:
Die Larven leben in Tümpeln, Schlamm und Jauche. Sie sind braun bis schwarzgrau und besitzen eine etwa 10 cm lange Atemröhre. Vor dem Verpuppen suchen sie einen trockenen Ort in Ufernähe auf. 2 - 3 Generationen pro Jahr.
