I have now sent email directly to Christophe and asked if he could try to find a reasons for the recent service hiccups. And I know people have reported this via 'Help & Contact' service.

This is all just speculation, but there can be several reasons:

1) Amazon server is having some issues.

2) Ipernity service has some issues. Christophe has told he has done some optimization, but it should affect the opposite way, and make the service more reliable.

3) Something similar is going on as told on Ipernity January 16 news: www.ipernity.com/blog/team/4647264

4) Someone tries to slow down service deliberately, but this is a very unlikely explanation. In "good old days" My Opera service became a target of so called Do S attacks several times: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack
