22 "Yellow" - Amazona oratrix

We were woken early one morning to the sound of a parrot calling outside, so quickly went to investigate and get some pictures. We traced it to the top of an Orange tree in the farm-yard (see next picture), so I set up our Video Camera on the tripod to take some record shots.
Whilst recording the bird, we were startled to hear it suddenly break into something like bits of Opera, and it then began calling out the Familie's names. We were told then, that "Yellow" was the childrens' pet parrot and it had an open cage hanging from the lower branch of the tree. He was free to clamber all over it, and spent most of the time at the top calling out to all and sundry. He had us in hysterics over some of his calls.
DV video frame at about 60x zoom setting.
