1871 studied at the Royal Stora Teatern in Stockholm. with Fritz Arlberg , Julius Günther and Ivar Christian Hallström and Masset . Debut 1873 as Tamino "magic Flute" . After 1911 was mainly employed at the Stockholm Opera . Only between 1887 and 1889 he was at the Royal Opera in Copenhagen . Roles included Carmen (José),Othello (Othello),La Traviata (Alfredo) ,Aida (Radames), Faust (Faust) , Don Pasquale (Ernesto),Lakmé (Gerald),Wilhelm Tell (Arnold) ,La Gioconda (Enzo)and Lohengrin
