German Tenor
Studied in Riga and then in Berlin with Johannes Ress .Debut Frieburg as Lionel in “Martha” by von Flowtow 1896.After engagements at Zurich and and Hamburg he joined the Berlin Imperial opera in 1902 and remained until 1908. From 1905-1908 he made guest appearances in the German season’s at Covent Garden London and made appearances at Brussels and Amsterdam . From 1908-1914 he sang at the Metropolitan New York He returned to Berlin Opera. He returned to the USA in 1916 and became an American citizen and retired he became a singing teacher in Denver .He was invited by Johanna Gadski to tour the US with the German Opera Company 1929-1931. In 1932 he opened in New York a singing studio, but later went back to Denver
