On the left bank of River Mondego, Coimbra.
The frequent floods of River Mondego brought about damages and an increasing decay of the convent, abandoned in 1677. The nuns moved to the New Saint Claire Convent, built in the 17th century.
After the restoration of this medieval church, it was closed to visitors for a while, owing to floods in the 21st century.
