This cathedral was built in the 11th century, in Romanesque style, and was modified in the 17th and 18th centuries, when Baroque style elements changed its appearance. This a view of the western façade, at Praza do Obradoiro.

Seen from Avenida Montero Ríos, Pontevedra.
It was a Dominican convent, built in 1281, with the church added in the 17th century. In the 19th century both were destroyed and the material used in other buildings and pavement. In 1895 the ruins were listed as monument (a bit late) and decay didn't get any worse ever since.
