This area, above 1,000 metres of altitude was set on fire before dawn of July 27th 2018 by a disturbed guy, who was convicted to 9 years of jail in April 2019. This area - Água das Caldeiras, in central eastern Santo Antão Island, Cape Verde - is expected to regenerate in the next years.
