Moove Over, I Want in This Picture

A day in the country and I came across these camera hogs. They had an enourmous field to roam and they were all clustered together.
My First Macro
I got my first ever macro lens today. This was my first shot using it. That green dot next to the insect is a drop of paint that fell into the spider web when this table was painted last week. After some investigation I believe that this is a Small Mayfly.

Squirrel Surveillance

You are the one being watched. Expand the photo and find the two spies in the spruce tree. Soon after the shutter released, one of these two spies fell at my feet and scurried for cover. Yes, I know it is overexposed.

Spiral Tunnels
This wonderful viewpoint in Yoho National Park is a treat for any train enthusiast. Yes that is a train entering or exiting that tunnel in the mountain. The viewpoint is worth the stop on its own merit but watching the trains enter one side of a mountain and come out in another location always amazes everyone who watches this feat of engineering from the late 19th century. Train traffic is high on this line so there is always a chance one will see a train going through the tunnels.

My White Whale
I am so envious of all the great wildlife photographs on ipernity. I am not very good at catching any kind of wildlife, let alone make it look pleasing.
I have been trying to capture this little fellow for the past week. Tonight he risked being photographed because of the bowl of water in our back yard. I finally captured him with several shots. He is my white whale and I finally have him. :)

Illuminated Figure in White

This figure will soon change color. There is a fascination to encountering these figures on pedestals the first time.

This was moments after it was white. The colors change on these figures in Place Massena.
Apollo
These lighted figures on pedestals with Apollo make this walk at Place Massena, near the old city, a nice, Nice, scene.
