Tuck and Patti - "Love is the Key" www.youtube.com/watch?v=46g53IgqUq8
On Tuesday I solved two problems regarding keys. In the morning I bought a new mailbox lock for my renter and installed it since he had lost his keys and there was only one mailbox key (the other was also lost).
We had been at the lake cottage a day before and my wife left her pile of keys (enough to choke a horse) at the lake. Since she was busy and it was a nice day, I drove back the hour to the lake and the hour back to retrieve them. There they were, right on the front step where she left them.
If "Love is the Key" retrieving this many keys might make me the most loved person anywhere.

Two Weeks After the Fire

This field was on fire only two weeks earlier to the day. New fence posts, wire, and the green is coming through the black scorched earth.
See the notes for the scene two weeks earlier or browse through my last five submissions.

Please see the four other photos in this set.
Alberta is dry and anything will start a fire. We passed by a familiar intersection in the country two weeks ago. At the time the field was on fire and we could see large orange flames. Fortunately the fire did not cross the highway. This truck was driving away from the fire as it was still burning.
Currently the city of Fort McMurray in Northern Alberta is fighting for its life as over 1600 homes have been destroyed by a forest fire. It is the largest evacuation in Alberta history, 90,000 people.

This one assured me that it was his best side for a profile.

Peahen with pigeons. She won't get as many stars as the male I will post later but I wanted to give her a chance to show off by blending in.
There were a few of these plump girls in the tree with a couple of males. I had never seen one of these birds perch before or fly, as they did soon after I found them in this tree.
At Castelo de S. Jorge, Lisbon.
