Your main image is very well composed Gudrun............clean and sharp with lovely light and a dramatic sky. I don't think I've seen a wooden lighthouse before...........this one looks in wonderful condition.

I really like the first PiP with the different perspective.

The interior image in the second PiP is gorgeous. I love the light coming through the window and the way lights up the underside of the stairs and the chair. I think this is my favourite of your three images.

A wooden lighthouse is a first for me too Gudrun. It's rather lovely and I like the perspective in your main shot. The PiP's are also beautiful. The interior picture reminds me of the inside of a small church on the north Devon coast that has a chair and steps in it, as the church is so high up that it was used as a look-out! The picture of yours is so atmospheric and in a lovely light.

Thanks a lot, Rosa! There are some wooden lighthouses along the Norwegian coast but tall ones are rather rare, they are only used for places where the signal needs to be seen from afar.
I'd probably be scared in the church, in the lighthouse I also chickened out as the upper flight of steps didn't have railings on both sides;-)

No railings! That would keep me away ;-))

Well, it did have railings on one side- but on the other side you could look and fall down.
With railings on both sides I just about managed but had to go down backwards;-)

Schönen Dank, bk! Aber ja, runde gibt's in Norwegen nicht so viele. Und die meisten Leuchttürme sind nicht sehr hoch, braucht's zwischen den Schären auch nicht. Lediglich zur offenen See wie hier hat man höhere gebaut.
