Haliaeetus albicilla

In the Risøyrenna channel there usually is a pair of white tailed sea eagles sitting around somewhere. This time they were very active and came relatively near. The PiPs are strongly cropped, the main photo hardly so. Sadly I had a slow memory card which elected to blink red just as they were nearest...

In der Risøyrenna sitzt in der Regel irgendwo ein Adlerpärchen herum. Dieses Mal waren sie sehr aktiv und kamen dem Schiff recht nahe. Leider fing meine lahme Speicherkarte gerade an, rot zu blinken, als sie am dichtesten dran waren... Die PiPs sind stark gecroppt, das Hauptbild nur unwesentlich.

Herzlichen Dank, Uwe! ich war ganz verblüfft:-) So ganz extrem lahm war die Speicherkarte nicht, aber ich hatte schon jede Menge Serienbilder gemacht und genau als sie ganz nah waren, ging nichts mehr... Die schnellere Karte war natürlich in der Tasche, an Umstellen auf nur jpg dachte ich in dem Moment auch nicht.

Thank you so much, Keith! I was shooting RAW+jpg and in continual shooting mode... I should have switched to just jpg but the eagles turned up so unexpectedly. Bad luck for me that my card got busy just as they got really near but at least I got something;-)

Danke vielmals, Uli! Allerdings, da habe ich auch immer Ausschau gehalten, aber da waren sie immer recht weit weg. Bei den beiden hier versuchte einer, eine Eiderente zu jagen, die tauchte aber schnell genug weg und der Adler tauchte ohne Beute auf;-)
EInmal habe ich auch gesehen, wie ein Seeadler von Möwen attackiert und vertrieben wurde.
