Herzlichen Dank, Percy! Im Fjord bildet sich Eis eigentlich nur wenn es lange Zeit sehr, sehr kalt ist, aber diesen Winter kam tatsächlich ein warmes Sturmtief nach dem anderen...

Dann hat man diese Schiffe wohl auch mit halber Eisbrecherfunktion gebaut? -
Hier an der Ruhr hat es heute Nacht auch etwas gefroren, die Frühlingsblüten haben es aber alle überstanden.

Besten Dank, Volker! Nein, die haben wie alle zwar einen doppelten Rumpf, aber ansonsten hält ja der Golfstrom alles eisfrei. Nur hier drin im Fjord kann es frieren, weil das so weit im Osten liegt, wo der Golfstrom nicht hinkommt.Deshalb kommen dort dann im Zweifelsfall Eisbrecher zum Einsatz.

Das ist schade, aber aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben! Ich habe die letzten Male immer online über die norwegische Seite gebucht, das ist meist erheblich günstiger, allerdings gilt dann auch norwegisches Reiserecht. An-und Abreise selbst gebucht ist auch um sicher die Hälfte günstiger, aber man trägt natürlich auch selbst das Risiko und einen Puffertag sollte man dann jeweils schon einbauen.

I'd love to do a trip on the Hurtigruten, but I get very seasick.

A pity about your seasickness! I am told the Postafen tablets you can buy in Norway and on the ships are very effective (better than the stuff you can buy at home).
