Rudston - All Saints

Rudston - All Saints
The place name ‘Rudston’ is first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and means ‘cross stone’ and refers to the highest standing stone in Britain, which stands in the church graveyard.

The tower of All Saints Church is Norman/Romanesque, it is the oldest part of the building as the larger part is Gothic and dates from the 14th century.
