Secqueville-en-Bessin - Saint-Sulpice

Saint-Sulpice is an impressive church in the center of Secqueville-en-Bessin, a village with a population of not even 400. When the church was erected the place belonged to the Abbaye-aux-Hommes in Caen, what explains the effort, expended here.

There are some carvings, that are so unweathered, that they are probably placed during a recent renovation. Here is an old, pretty weathered carving. Two animals playing around a window, or two humans (with strange heads) planting trees or fighting with sticks.
