Alaskan Sakura

As you probably know, blossoming of the Sakura, cherry blossoms, in Japan is the harbinger of spring. Up here on top of the world, in the interior of Alaska, the popping out of the pussywillows signals spring is eminent. Both, Sakura and pussywillows can only be enjoyed for a short time.
I'm heading down to Japan in about a week and a half. I'll be arriving is Osaka to late, alas, to enjoy Sakura, the cherry blossom front has already moved past, but I am enjoying our pussywillows before I leave.
