Powerless

Monday morning doodle:
I awoke at 3:40 this morning to find that my electric power was off. After checking my own breaker box I called the electric company and found that it was an area-wide power outage, that a transformer sub-station had failed. During the winter, with temperatures down below minus forty degrees, such a power loss could be catastrophic. Hence I've set up and alarm system to inform me if I loose power or heat. Since it's not cold yet I went back to sleep and got up around 7, when the power came back on. Since then I've had 2 or 3 momentary power losses, all of them when I was working at the computer, of course. -grin.
