Not that old the church wasn't built until 1840 there is at least one stone from that year, they have of course been moved. The story is that Henry Grey the 7th Earl of Stamford paid £2.300 to have a Chapel of Ease built after a wheel came off his carriage on his way to church at Ratby (about 1.5 miles) complaining about the 'foulness of the way' it's Grade II most of those headstones look like local slate
