Kinver Edge is a sandstone ridge cover by heath and woodland the view is from one of the two Iron Age hillforts, it also contains the Holy Austin Rock Houses, it is now owned by the National Trust

I haven't heard of the Holy Austin Rock Houses, Peter ... I am curious. Please explain!
Peter Castell club has replied to Andy Rodker clubIt is thought that the inspiration for the Hobbits may have come from the rock house Tolkien lived in Birmingham and Kinver was a popular day out easily reached by train and tram.
