I don't know what flower this is, Peter, but it's very beautiful. An exceptional macro.

Pleased you liked it Amelia it's a Dondrobium or cane orchid there are lots of different types I think this is a Nobilis. someone was throwing out a few years ages I rescued it, with 16 flowers this is the best it's been, there is something wrong with it the new leaves are interwoven and don't open unless I tease them apart, I don't suppose I give it the right conditions it's on the kitchen window sill At one time M&S used to sell them
