Contents consumed by the visiting red squirrel.
Shells collected regularly to determine consumption - as s/he maybe removing hazel nuts to eat elsewhere, this may be only an approximation
Also found some shredded pine cones.

StoneRoad2013 club has replied to Jean Paul Capdeville clubConservationists give the red, native, squirrel a helping hand in various ways - including controlling the numbers of the invasive grey squirrels in the areas where the two are competing.
One of the main problems is that the grey squirrel usually carries a highly transmissible disease that is usually fatal to the native reds.

Of course we all know they squirrel them away somewhere!!
Best Wishes, and stay safe!!
