Wild grapes / Vitis labrusca


Wild grapes are edible; however, be warned that eaten right off the vine they may be a bit tangy for some. The grapes taste better after the first frost but are still a bit on the sour side for many palates. They have seeds as well.

Yes I BET they're bitter as anything right off the vine...plenty of domestic berries have been developed to be much more palatable but still, I bet these would be wonderful with the proper preparation! Thanks for sharing! :)
