Marple Viaduct

Marple Viaduct
Opened in about 1865 by the Marple, New Mills and Hayfield Junction Railway, Marple Viaduct carries the Manchester to Sheffield main line over the River Goyt. Through the arches can be seen Marple Aquaduct, built in 1800 to carry the Lower Peak Forest Canal over the valley.
