Thick as a brick.
11 million of them. Stockport Viaduct, opened in 1840 as a two track structure and 111 ft high, it was the largest viaduct in the world, and is now a Grade 2 listed structure. Expanded to 4 tracks in about 1890. Here we see EMU 304027 approaching Stockport Station with an Up local service.

Marple Wharf
The Eastern end of Marple Viaduct, as it crosses the Lower Peak Forest Canal just at the end of Marple Aquaduct.
Just off camera to the left is Marple Wharf Jn, where the Rose Hill Branch diverges.
