Down the branch.

We are on Hunslet 0-6-0ST Austerity 18 as the shuttle is drawn back to Rothley from the terminus at Mountsorrel by Class 20 diesel D8001. Not a lot of work for me on this leg!

Beyond the bridge & buffer stops is Mountsorrel roadstone quarry.

The land beyond the bridge belongs to the quarry company Graham so the Mountsorrel preservation group/GCR took over what was available.
