PC_Chief_Restaurant_CO

The Chief Diner was located at 2127 Main Ave., Durango, Colorado.
“Known Coast to Coast for its fine food and service – This very unique Café all hand painted by a famous Colored artist, is made from one of the first Narrow Gauge Railroad Coaches to come over the D&RGWRR. It was used in the early eighties [1880’s] by Otto Mears on his once famous Rainbow Route from Silverton to Ironton, Colo. During the early days it was attacked by Indians and there were many arrow heads buried in the wood.”
