Midge is a fool...

Skywald was one of the smaller comic publishers that tried to give Marvel, DC, Harvey, Archie and Gold Key/Whitman a run for their money in the late 1960's and 70's. Breaking through a ceiling like that is hard enough in any industry, and the comic field was no exception.
Pour through many a box of oddball comics and you'll likely chance upon one of Skywald's more common western efforts. Until picking this up recently, however, I had never even seen a Skywald romance - not surprising, seeing that it lasted but four issues.
Tender Love Stories - No. 1, February 1971 issue.
