Built in 1905 to the designs of P.S. Stott for the Heron Mill Co Ltd, this mill was powered by a 1400hp George Saxon engine. Taken over in the 1930s by the Lancashire Cotton Corporation it ceased production in 1960 and then passed to Courtaulds for offices and warehousing.
