Levi Wooldridge, Hanley

Levi Wooldridge was the elder brother of Clement Wooldridge who ran a brickworks behind the Castlefield Pottery at the end of Davis Street in the later 1860s. When Clement died in 1871 at the age of 37 I believe that Levi took over the business for a short time. There is no listing of the business in the 1873 trade directory but Levi continued to live in the area, working as a publican.
