TRAIN SPOTTERS ALBUM 1


This must date from about 1962 or 63 and the cards were given with purchases of ice cream from the van that came down our street. In theory you needed to buy 50 separate ices to get a full set of cards, but I remember the driver being rather more generous than that. Of course there were the duplicates that always frustrated you and required swapping with your mates. As far as I can recall we ended up pestering the poor chap to sort through his stocks to find the last few missing cards.
