Homewards with the coal

The Huanan Coal Railway was once much longer and called the Huanan Forestry Railway. Unfortunately they ran out of trees and had to refocus the business on moving coal from small mining operations in the remote hills where there are few roads. One of the C2 class locomotives is seen here on the relatively flat final run towards Huanan with a loaded coal train. The great variety in wagons is due to most having been converted from the original timber bogies.
