Hailar Depot

Coaling Crane at the Hailar Depot of Chinese National Railways in October 1992. The action here was non-stop with a constant stream of locomotives coming on and off the shed. When I passed on a train in December 2006 the semi-roundhouse building was still there but derelict. and the tracks in the yard had been lifted.
