You're right.....most of England isn't anything like this although the Pennine Hills (A.K.A. "The Backbone of England") are almost as high in some places. This area, the Lake District National Park, has the highest point in England (Scafell Pike), the largest lake (Windermere) and the deepest lake (Wastwater).
