Roughlee.....The Old Hall
This 16th Century building known as The Old Hall (built in 1536) was the former home of Alice Nutter, one of the accused "Pendle Witches" who was executed at Lancaster with nine others in 1612.

Phil club has replied to Pam J clubA few years ago, our local bus service called "The Witch Way" (which uses the image of a witch on a broomstick on the side of each bus) was criticized in the local newspaper by a clergyman who claimed they (the buses) "were evil"......if ignorance is bliss then he must be a very happy man :-)
