We started here in 1875 with horse drawn trams, 30 years later all lines were electrified.From autumn 1944 to June 1945 there was no traffic, in these months wooden blocks supporting the rails were dug out and burned as there was no fuel for cooking and heating.

That is interesting to hear! Thanks for the info. Here in Tampere we actually had trolleybuses running with similar electric cables as trams, between 1948 and 1976.

Very nicely composed. We have trams in Stockholm, Norrköping and Gothenburg. The ones in Stockholm were taken away but then some came back again.

Our village has never had trams, but I used to have aunts and uncles in 2 cities in Scotland, and loved going on the tramcars.
