Wars of the Flowers

A fierce civil war rages in the Wine Country of California similar to the Wars of the Roses fought in England during the 1400's between the supporters of two rival branches of the royal House of Plantagenet (the House of Lancaster, associated with a red rose, and the House of York, with a white rose).
Battle lines have been drawn with the whites having the high ground and the reds controlling the lower regions. At stake is the claim of supremacy over the entire Napa-Sonoma region. The conflict has waxed and waned for decades with precious red and white wine needlessly spilled. When will the madness finally end?!
This photo was taken by a Minolta Autocord Seikosha-MX (Chiyoko) TLR medium format film camera and Chiyoko Rokkor 1:3.5 & 1:3.2 f=75mm lenses with a Toshiba 49mm SL-1A filter + bayonet adapter using Kodak Portra 400 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered using Photoshop.
