Artist At Work ...

Just another bit of fun created by me in the 'processing room' and which forms part of my ongoing, and somewhat tongue in cheek, Artist At Work series of images. I can't remember what I did to create this one or even for that matter which of my photos I based it upon, but I like how it turned out! Please view on black for best effect.

See It Move ...

Just another escapee from the 'processing room' although not as outlandish as the last one. In fact, a simple exercise in mirroring, which at first glance I wouldn't have thought worthy of posting, but then I noticed it moving. Please, someone tell me it isn't my imagination ... view it large on black, look at it for a couple of minutes and then tell me you don't see it starting to move!

Straight lines. - Sunday Challenge

This sunday challenge was a bit more difficult than I thought.... I walked out the door with my camera looking for straight lines, guess what....I could not find any. When I came back in the office I saw the dockets/workorders on the shelf and noticed these 9x12 catalogue envelopes showing straight lines..... at an angle and straight.

Windows

: www.ipernity.com/doc/christel.k/45136276 ein anderes Beispiel: www.ipernity.com/doc/christel.k/45136278 This technique of photo processing I have never applied before, but I've read something about it and found a corresponding filter in Photoshop Elements. Unfortunately, it is only possible to select horizontally and vertically linear areas, which I found in my current recordings for this topic not satisfactory. Therefore, in the above picture "Windows" I manually selected the windows to be highlighted and the background is soft. With an archive picture (not yet published) the editing worked better with Photoshop Elements, I found ...: www.ipernity.com/doc/christel.k/45136276 another example: www.ipernity.com/doc/christel.k/45136278

Monsoon jungle

The Sunday Challenge this week is rain. We haven't had a drop this week, so this evening I hung the garden hose with a sprinkler on over a support, turned the water on, and the hanging basket turned into tropical jungle.

Nantucket Orb

I took a fairly ordinary photo of a street scene in Nantucket, Massachusetts and converted it into a much more interesting orb that reflects the town. If you look closely, you can see the Atlantic Ocean, the harbor, gray shingled buildings, bright red doors, cobblestone and brick walkways, visitors with bicycles, Adirondack chairs, quaint street lamps and charming stores. Lemon slice in a glass of water (PiP)

The Sunday Challenge (TSC): 'back to basics' Use a non-zoom lens, ISO100, and lets see something SOOC, no crop, no post pro, just like in the old days of film. This is a 20,1 MB RAW file (digital negative) shot with my 100mm prime. Settings were fully manual except white balance (AWB). I used a tripod and focussed manually with the help of live view. The file is completely untouched, I just transferred it from camera to hard drive with EOS Utitlty. Inset/below is the JPG (shot in tandem with the RAW), picture style "automatic", the differences to RAW show what Canon does in camera.
