When the fields were golden

It's difficult to even imagine what a day like this feels like - sunshine, blue sky and glorious fields of Canola. Yesterday, we had a blizzard that left deep snowdrifts everywhere and today, the snow is still falling. The one good things about such strong winds is that most of the snow blew off my car as fast as it was falling. Took this photo on 19 July 2013, just within Calgary city limits in the SW. Love those gravel backroads, but not in winter. Yesterday, thanks to the blizzard, around 200 road accidents were reported, so today is definitely another day to stay home, if one is able to.
