Cladonia bellidiflora, 'Toy Soldiers'
Thanks to Doug for the ID on this one! We saw this different Lichen while on a botanizing hike into the mountains, along the Pocaterra Cirque Trail three days ago. Doug, I hope you don't mind if I use your description of this - if I try putting it into my own words, I might get it all wrong : )

"Cladonia bellidiflora 'Toy Soldiers' is a fruticose lichen with large bright red apothecia on a squamule covered podetia. Growing on a rock that is thickly covered with mosses."

Or is this Cladonia Borealis?
