Eastern edge of the Rockies

A friend had very generously invited me to go along with him two days ago, exploring the area south of the city, in the Porcupine Hills, Foothills and Nanton area. The weather was incredible and the scenery breath-taking! Everything from flat grassland, to rolling hills and the Foothills, to the eastern edge of the mountains. You can see the very eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains in this photo. At the foot of this slope, the rolling Foothills begin. This particular road, Kananaskis Road, was very interesting.
