Orange burst

This was such a pretty flower - I think a Chrysanthemum. Very spikey and irregular in petal length.
Today, I was out from 7:00 a.m. till 7:15 p.m. on the Nanton Christmas Bird Count. Dead beat, so am only posting one image tonight, LOL. I should also add that the last part of the day was spent back at one of the organizer's homestead, for a delicious pot-luck supper, while all the sightings were organized and recorded. Had such beautiful weather today and the mountains and Foothills looked gorgeous, covered in snow. Not many photo opportunities, though, as we were driving/being driven along all the side roads most of the time, with just an occasional stop to quickly walk around various homesteads. The only few bird photos I took were of a Great Horned Owl : )
