Out on a limb

This is one of two lucky shots that I managed to get of this little House Sparrow. She and several others were flitting in and out of the bushes where I was standing and she landed on this branch for just a second or two. I always enjoy photographing House Sparrows, though the main place I seem to see them is when I go to the Calgary Zoo. Taken on 16 April 2013.
Just when we had been fooled into thinking that spring had finally arrived, guess what is in our weather forecast -close to 1 mm of rain from this afternoon to tomorrow evening and close to 1 cm of snow from this afternoon to tomorrow evening. Any snow is not likely to settle, thank goodness. Temperature is 5C, windchill 2C this morning and, of course, no sign of the sun.
